TacSAS®

TacSAS®, the completely self-contained portable TeraScan® systems, are easily deployable for military operations. SeaSpace offers three different TacSAS® systems, all of which fit into an HMMWV-sized vehicle. TacSAS-FM acquires data directly from geostationary meteorological satellites and automatically generates weather images ranging from full-disc earth views to high-resolution views of the local region. TacSAS-TPM is ideal for field operations from mission planning to ordnance targeting. It provides both automated reception and processing of direct-broadcast weather and environmental data from the NOAA and DMSP series of low-earth-orbiting (LEO) satellites and LRIT. TacSAS-THM is similar to the TacSAS-TPM, except this system is equipped to acquire data while traveling on paved surfaces at speeds up to 50 mph.

TSAM

The TeraScan® Acquisition Module (TSAM™)is a compact, portable unit for the acquisition of data from polar orbiting and geostationary environmental satellites. It contains all the hardware and software required to demodulate,bit-sync, frame, and write to disk the data embedded in the downlinked L-band or S-band signal broadcast from polar orbiting and geostationary satellites.
